How do I program my garage door opener remote?
To program your garage door opener remote, first locate the 'Learn' button on the motor unit. This button is typically purple, red-orange, green, yellow, or white. For wall-mounted jackshaft openers, you'll need to lift the access door on the motor to find the 'Learn' button. Press and release this button. Within 30 seconds, press and hold the remote button for approximately two seconds. This action will program that specific button to the motor. The next time you press the remote button, the door will open. For additional remotes, repeat these steps. To program your garage door keypad, begin by locating the 'Learn' button on the motor unit. It's usually purple, red-orange, green, yellow, or white. Immediately after, press and hold the 'Enter' button for a couple of seconds. This process programs the new 4-digit code to that specific motor and erases any previously programmed codes for that door.
